Task 1: Open 4 Tabs in your Browser
Open TWO tabs opened (preferably in Google Chrome):
CMD + T or CTRL + T 1. Google Drive - drive.google.com 2. ceobgafe.weebly.com These notes that might be useful if you find printed documentation beneficial to your way of learning. Task 2: AttendanceA Google Spreadsheet will be shared with you. Danielle will demonstrate how to share the file with 'Anyone with a link'.
Enter your name, email address and teaching year level/s to this spreadsheet. Some of this information will be used to share documents and folders with other participants during this workshop. Alternatively, click on the button below. Task 3: Similarities to MS WOrdWithin a shared folder, create a document and call it 'your name and town' e.g.: Danielle Peters Ballarat.
Create a document and include as many of the following features:
After a couple of minutes: share your document with another two people (select participants who are 5 & 10 rows below your name in the attendance sheet ) and share/invite them to add further ideas to the table. [2 mins] Task 4 - Shared Note TakingOne person creates a document and calls it "Our summary: new possibilities using Google apps".
Extras - eg: sharing note-taking & a unit of workGoogle Drive and Docs - create 5 groups. Each group answers different questions while all watching the same clip. An activity that can be applied in the classroom.
Convert a Unit of Work template to Google Document, share it with relevant staff enabling them to contribute to the planning - no more emails or confusion over version control.
